Gauges

Gauges are popular measuring equipment amongst SMEs due to its simplicity and cost effectiveness, while maintaining the measurement accuracy. They are used at several stages of manufacturing and assembly for product conformity and dimensional validity. CMM/Optical/Laser measurements are not always a viable option considering the cost and complexity involved. Bespoke and traditional gauges are answer to the problem in those scenarios. Qualitzs has extensive experience of all gauging aspects from simple handheld gauges (such as gap gauges, plug gauges, form gauges) to complex gauging solutions.

Gauges are used to improve the product measurement conformity, reduce rework and decrease scarp material in the following manufacturing and assembly stages:

  • First-off inspection, in process and last-off inspection
  • Reference check on profile, radius, thickness and diameters
  • Process control on batch or volume production
  • As part of layered inspection
  • Product audit confirmation
  • Part of gatekeeping, PDI, rework and containment activities

Qualitzs can use your designs or offer our own solutions to manufacture gauges that suits your measurements requirements. We amalgamate following different gauging methods to provide comprehensive solution

  • Conventional gauges
  • Universal gauges
  • Design & Manufacture of Bespoke gauges
Some of the Conventional gauges that you can use off-the-shelf are:
  • Gap gauges
  • Radius gauges
  • Ring gauges
  • Plug gauges
  • Go/NoGo gauges
  • Thread gauges
  • Bore gauges
  • Height/Depth gauges
  • Feeler gauges
  • Profile gauges
  • Spline gauges
  • Bespoke gauges
