Jigs and fixtures are an integral part of production and quality environments, used to hold a component to either measure the dimensional accuracy or act as a manufacturing aid. Jigs and fixtures can be fixed or adjustable, specific use or universal based on its application and purpose of use in during manufacturing, assembly and inspection processes. Wherever jig/fixture is used and whatever stage of production it is, common goal of any jig or fixture is to assist manufacturing process and reduce the time taken to perform specific tasks.
